Lewis County Printing LLC has been, for 50 years, a go-to place for businesses and organizations needing printed material, whether posters, brochures, or other materials.

The business has its roots as Three Rivers Printing, which LC Printing owner Marilyn Workman started with her then-husband. It was located on Post Office Drive in Weston.

That was in 1972, and following a divorce three years after that, the business was sold.

“I had to find a job after we sold the business, so I worked at Gilmer Graphics,” Workman said in a 2004 interview with The Weston Democrat.

Her boss at the time, Bob Arnold, suggested Workman start her own company, and even supplied the name: Lewis County Printing.

In 1983, Workman talked with Frank Craig of Mountain State Log Homes, and a deal was struck between the two for a building to house Workman’s business in return for printing services.

“It was tough, but I built my own shop and started after being a broker for eight years,” she said in that same 2004 interview.

Long time employee, Holly Whitehair, has been working with Workman for 24 years. She praises Whitehair’s dedication and loyalty.

“You’ll never find another Holly in this world, personally or professionally,” Workman said of Whitehair. Whitehair is one of two employees working with Workman, the other being Shaylee Allman.

Charles Jeffries is a former employee who Workman credits, as well, for doing a great job as a typesetter and graphic designer.

“He ran the whole department,” she said of Jeffries.

Workman said the respect she, and her business, have been shown by Lewis County is greatly appreciated.

“I thank the community for their undying support,” she said.

Lewis County Printing, LLC can name several loyal customers as clients that operate in Lewis County, including the school system. The company designs and prints business cards, campaign materials, newsletters, labels, letterheads and envelopes, color copies, brochures, flyers, rubber stamps, computer forms, and countless other items.
